I'm a big fan of hard hat tours! I love trucking through a constructions zone and hearing about the vision of the architect and designers (I personally have been known to take 6 months trying to decide what color to paint one wall in my bedroom).
While in Park City I had the privilege of being introduced to the new St. Regis Deer Crest and Dakota Mountain Lodge, part of the Waldorf=Astoria collection.

While reviewing the renderings and model room, I was impressed with the attention to detail that is going into the design and development of the new Starwood property. The finished product will be a beautifully understated mountain luxury with a strong focus on the quality St. Regis is known for. The 67 hotel condominiums and additional private residences will be right at the base of the mountain with beautiful views of Deer Valley.
Dakota Mountain Lodge opening June of 2009 is the first new build for Waldorf=Astoria and will more than earn it's place in the top tier of Hilton properties. The property will be very close to The Canyons with is own personal tram. When completed Dakota Mountain Lodge will have the most extensive meeting space in Park City. The U shaped layout of the property lends to an intimacy in the private courtyard perfect for outdoor group functions.
